Ten steel mills in the southern, south-eastern and north-eastern regions of the country service the domestic and export markets with long steel, specialty steels and semi-finished products.   The supply of the main metallic inputs is achieved through a strategically distributed countrywide network, which includes a mill for the production of pig iron and eight units for the collection and processing of scrap.

  Nine rebar fabricating facilities, four downstream operations and a stake in the elevator guide rail supplier Monteferro América Latina allow the transformation of Gerdau steel into products of higher added value.

  In the field of distribution, the steel retailer Comercial Gerdau is the country’s largest supplier of long and flat steel, playing an important role in servicing end users with products manufactured by the Group’s industrial units and by other Brazilian steel mills.
