Our steel mills are equipped with dust removal systems that efficiently filter solid particles and gases generated by the steel production process.
Industrial waters are treated inside the units and reused by closed-circuit systems, allowing us to reuse this water in the productive process. Currently, 96% of the water is reused. The remaining water is evaporated and a small part is returned to the rivers, meeting environmental legislation requirements.
The nearby soil is protected through rigorous methods of control and preparation of scrap, reducing the generation of residues in the electric furnaces. We also develop new applications in other economic segments using the by-products that result from the steel production process.
