Teams are permanently trained using the most modern safety management concepts, encouraging pro-active attitudes for the continued improvement of workplace conditions.
We increased our involvement with service provider companies through the implementation of specific methods for total safety management.
Throughout its history, the Gerdau Group has invested in new equipment and technologies for the constant prevention of accidents. In addition, specialized consultants assist in the performance of audits to evaluate compliance with safety practices and detect opportunities for improvement.
As a result of all of this work, safety performance has improved with a 30% reduction in the accident frequency rate (the number of accidents with work leave multiplied by one million and divided by working man-hours).
