The desire to discuss and solve issues of interest
to society at large stimulates partnerships with
corporate entities and governments
The Gerdau Group takes an active role in debates
of national interest. It works in partnership with
corporate bodies to promote economic growth,
as well as improve public administration, through
the diffusion of modern management practices.
In 2006, for example, the Group joined other
national leaders to launch the All for Education
Commitment, a movement aimed at ensuring the
right to quality public education, so that by 2022,
the bicentenary of the country’s independence, all
young Brazilians will have access to a good quality
basic education that will prepare them to meet the
challenges of the 21st century.
The Group supports organizations such as UNESCO,
the World Economic Forum, the Movement for
a Competitive Brazil, Brazilian Business Action,
and the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable
Development (CEBDS). Over the coming years, the
Gerdau Group’s work alongside governments and
society will be expanded through the establishment
of global guidelines and policies.
