The Gerdau Group has developed and consolidated its ethical values through more than 100 years of experience. These values, compiled in the Group's Ethical Guidelines, are based on integrity, correctness and consistency.

Relationship with Employees
The Gerdau Group encourages employees to be actively involved in their personal development. We promote trust, transparency and access to information. Together with our professionals, we also work towards the development of people committed to the communities where they live and to the respect of privacy.

Above all, we value the person as a whole. With this objective, we provide resources and knowledge for the development of a healthy and safe work environment.

The Gerdau Group also prepares its employees for retirement and handles the retirement process with respect and dignity. Negotiations with unions follow the principles of open dialog, listening to all points of view and respecting the positions of all parties. Our compensation system rewards performance and outstanding contributions.

Our employees follow guidelines concerning the care and use of Company assets,  personal conduct, resolution of conflicts of interest, use of information technology resources, and giving and accepting presents or gifts. These guidelines also apply to loyalty, safety procedures and the disclosure of Company information.

Relationship with Customers
The Gerdau Group encourages lasting relationships, built on trust, with our customers. We ensure that all contracts with customers are fulfilled, and require that our contractors’ business conduct be in accordance with our Ethical Guidelines. We respect our customers’ rights, and supply products and services that meet their needs, using procedures in keeping with the concepts and practices of Total Quality Management.

The Group’s employees are responsible for identifying our customers’ priorities and improving customer services and product quality. Our employees only make promises regarding products and services when they can be fulfilled.

Relationships with Shareholders
The Gerdau Group uses financial resources prudently and provides transparent and up-to-date information about transactions to shareholders. Business is conducted to ensure profitability and continued financial security.

Relationship with Suppliers
